Artist's Comments

The single monitor version of an entry for the Multi-Monitor Mayhem contest. More importantly, it's a new wallpaper for me that I not only dig, but done in a style I've never really thought about trying before. The lilies were referenced from a photo taken by my mother of one of her gorgeous ikebanas. Though only the flower was used, I tried to keep the same harmony she originally designed, but alas, my black thumb doesn't allow me to do flower arrangement. Anyways, enjoy!

Created in Adobe Illustrator.
Lovin' the g-mesh tool.

i created it from scratch digitally using a reference photo. which means i looked at the photo for color and shape ideas and then pathed out the shaped and used the gradient mesh tool in illustrator to give it it's color blends.

Nice work. Great composition with this piece. I love the colors as well; very organic, but somehow trendy as well.
